In the TELONAMAN+ project we are collecting good practice cases related to:

-Sustainable Blue Economy initiatives that involve people with disabilities or vulnerable situations
-Sustainable Blue Economy initiatives where women have a relevant leadership role
-Sustainable Blue Economy initiatives that promote participatory leadership, governance and citizen participation.

Título:Aula de economía azul

Promotor: La Asociación de Padres de Discapacitados Psíquicos de Bergantiños (ASPABER) nace en el año 1976. Es una asociación abierta y plural, en continuo proceso de adaptación ante la realidad y las necesidades de las personas con discapacidad intelectual.

Su misión es contribuir a que las personas con discapacidad intelectual y sus familias dispongan de los apoyos necesarios para poder desenvolver su proyecto de vida y lograr su inclusión como ciudadanos.

Resumen del proyecto: ASPABER cuenta con más de 7 años de experiencia ejecutando un proyecto de Economía Circular en la reparación de plástico vinculado a la Economía Azul y al Sector Pesquero, a través de la técnica plastic repair system (PRS) con la cual reparan cajas y contenedores de pescado alargado su vida útil. También tiene una gran experiencia colaborando con centros escolares y de formación profesional contribuyendo a difundir los principios de la economía circular entre los jóvenes.

ASPABER a través del proyecto AULA AZUL pretende crear un área de formación medioambiental y de Economía Azul que unifique todas las iniciativas que estaba llevando hasta ahora (PRS, taller de anzuelos y taller de manipulado de tapones) e introduzca nuevas formaciones con carácter permanente que capaciten a las personas con diversidad funcional como Monitores/as medioambientales en el ámbito de la Economía azul para que

puedan impulsar un Aula Medioambiental de Economía Azul.

El objetivo de este Aula es aumentar la sensibilización de la sociedad y especialmente de la juventud en materia de economía azul y economía circular.

Promoter: The Association of Parents of the Mentally Handicapped of Bergantiños (ASPABER) was founded in 1976. It is an open and plural association, in a continuous process of adaptation to the reality and needs of people with intellectual disabilities.

Its mission is to contribute so that people with intellectual disabilities and their families have the necessary support to be able to develop their life project and achieve their inclusion as citizens.
Project summary: ASPABER has more than 7 years of experience executing a Circular Economy project in the repair of plastic linked to the Blue Economy and the Fishing Sector, through the plastic repair system (PRS) technique with which they repair fish boxes and containers, extending their useful life. It also has extensive experience collaborating with schools and vocational training centres, helping to disseminate the principles of the circular economy among young people.
ASPABER, through the AULA AZUL project, aims to create an environmental and Blue Economy training area that unifies all the initiatives it has been carrying out until now (PRS, hooks workshop and cap handling workshop) and introduces new permanent training courses to train people with functional diversity as environmental monitors in the field of the Blue Economy so that they can promote an Environmental Classroom in the area of the circular economy.
